100 Adoptions and Counting: A Milestone Worth Celebrating!

July 2025

Just 18 months ago, we opened our hearts and homes with one mission — to give animals in need a second chance. Now, we’re overjoyed to share an incredible milestone: we’ve officially reached our 100th adoption!

Lucky number 100?  None other than Smoke, one of our brave pups rescued during this year’s devastating wildfires. His journey from chaos to comfort is a perfect symbol of everything we stand for — hope, resilience, and the power of community.

In 2024, our very first year in operation, we were proud to complete 50 adoptions. That alone felt like a dream come true. Fast forward to July 2025, and just days into the month, we’ve doubled that number — proof of how far we’ve come and how strong our support system truly is.

We couldn’t have done it without YOU — our fosters, volunteers, donors, adopters, and cheerleaders. Your compassion, time, and generosity have helped us grow from a small start-up rescue to a thriving animal welfare community making a real difference.

From all of us at Pets Purpose Animal Shelter Society, thank you for helping us reach this heartwarming milestone. We’re beyond excited to see where the rest of the year takes us — and how many more lives we can change together.

Here’s to the next 100!

Marching into Summer: Our First Lloyd Ex Parade!

This summer brought a new and exciting first for Pets Purpose Animal Shelter Society — we entered the Lloyd Ex Parade for the very first time… and it was an absolute blast!

Our team proudly rode through the streets on our float, waving to the crowd and soaking in all the smiles, cheers, and tail wags from the community. The energy was incredible, and it was heartwarming to see so many familiar faces (and a few familiar furry friends too!).

Why It Mattered

Being part of the Lloydminster Exhibition Parade wasn’t just about having fun (though we definitely did!) — it was about celebrating the community that supports us and the animals we care for.

We are so grateful to be part of a city that shows up for its rescue organizations, and we loved having the chance to show up for you in return. Community events like this help raise awareness for animal rescue and remind us all of the power of coming together for a cause.

Until Next Year!

We’re already looking forward to next year’s parade and making it even bigger and better. Thank you to everyone who cheered us on and waved hello. Your support means the world to us and the animals we serve. - See you in the next parade!
